Great thanks man! At least it's not as ugly as your display face :-)))

Fist pisze...

Jenetik doesn't like pussy photos.

Cute cats.

Fotosia pisze...

Shit happens. I don't really care why he's so scared of the pussy part of his soul :-)))

The cats are sweet indeed. We have now an epidemics of maternal instincts in Bamse House. Highly dangerous in spring ;-)

Fist pisze...

There exists other, more dangerous, instincts, however!

Fotosia pisze...

More dangerous? Ha, ha! You mean the murderous instincts, Bamse Guys will experience, once the cats grow up start making mess all over the place? ;-)

Fist pisze...

Correct! Are you planning on making a mess somewhere, gosia? I'd like to see that.

Fotosia pisze...

Well, there are so many meanings to "mess" that I'm a bit anxious to answer this post, and say, I'm in mess all the time ;-)

Fist pisze...

You are, really? You don't seem it, you know.

Fotosia pisze...

Yeah, I know, people from the former communist block know how to pretend and cheat the system. ;-) And now will u excause me, but I'm off to work. Have to pretend a good bartender tonight, to take a day off on saturday and mess about in Amsterdam ;-)

Fotosia pisze...

'excuse', damn it!
;-)

Fist pisze...

But ofcaorse.

I like you, you know.

Fotosia pisze...

Am thrilled to hear that, and so are my readers. They find it very romantic ;-)))

Fist pisze...

Romance is easy on the internet!

Fotosia pisze...

Yes, but for the sake of an effective traffic policy, we should reveal the romance slowly, so the tension builds up and others keep reading and waiting.

And that's why I'm off for a while, to flirt with dutch grammar. ;-)

Fist pisze...

I have a feeling we're actually the only ones here right now, you tell me.

I lived in Holland for a while. I learnt 11 words. The word for beer, and the numbers one through ten. Justehkindaguyiamyano.

Fotosia pisze...

And what does "Justehkindaguyiamyano" mean? Would check in a Polish-Japanese dictionairy but haven't got one yet. Sounded a bit like "I'm a lazy bastard." ;-)

But then, who would like to study Dutch anyway? Only language-freaks like me. Most sophisticated phrase of an Erasmus student in Belgium is: "Mijn Nederlands sucks een beetje."

Fist pisze...

Just_the_kind_of_guy_I_am_you_know.

My best friend learnt Dutch for a degree, now he works in Holland somewhere or other. So him for one would like to learn! And he is a language (and literature) freak.

What does that phrase mean?

I think meer-a-no-ker was my favourite Dutch phrase. Don't know how to spell it, but it means, ant-fucker. I think. Memory's not so good, all those drugs I did over there, ya see.

Fotosia pisze...

Dunno what u're saying, never been introduced to a Dutch ant-fucker ;-)

"Mijn Nederlands sucks een beetje" is a quote from an Irish friend of mine.

Mijn Nederlands = My Dutch
sucks = sucks
een beetje = a bit

The thing is, that the word "sucks" does not exist in Dutch. --> We suck so much, that we are not even able to express it.

But that u don't even know the word "een beetje" amazes me. For how long did u stay in Holland?

Fist pisze...

About three months. What we did as soon as we were ever conscious was:

start smoking gear until we were unconscious again.

&, repeat.

There was the odd interruption for a trip up to Amsterdam, or Utrecht, or a night club, or magic mushrooms, or snooker, or food, or twice, art-galleries, but really, not much. I'm really really bad at remembering languages too. Very jealous of you.

Fotosia pisze...

It's you who's lucky, Fist. Everyone knows your language anyway, so why bother? There are so many more interesting things than studying by hearth lists of irregular verbs and other shit like that...

Fist pisze...

I don't think of it in that functional way. So many words unknown to me in the tongue they were intended, whether profound and long poems, or little jokes in the cafes.

If you're so dismissive of such things, how come you're learning Dutch too then?! Why not just stick with English?

Fotosia pisze...

Hey, I have been studying and studying English for the last ten years, and there are still things I could improve there. That's already a lot of wasted time, isn't it?

Am not dismissive - was rather thinking of it from the perspective of an average, normal person. If I was to stay in one country all my life, and people abroad could understand me anyway, I would not bother. Really!

And that would be a very healthy and rational attitude.

The thing is I find it hard to settle down. Am doing the 4th year of my studies now, and I already studied in three universities. Learning languages is a way to feed my little inner monster, always hungry for new cultures and surroundings...

But not everyone has this urge to push forward, and understand, and see more, more and more. Some people are satisfied with what they have, and I kind of envy them that. It's so comfortable to have a little house on a green hill, neighbours and friends around you, who understand the same jokes, and read the same books.

For such a life you don't need to bother about languages except on holiday. Most of my friends at home studied English and German, and they do not use the third one at all.

In general, English should be enough. Unless, like me, u're always greedy for new expat experiences...

Fist pisze...

Ah! So humanity divides into two types: Hobbits and Fotosians. I'm not much of an explorer, at least not in the physical travelling sense. And I am soooo bad at languages it's not true.

So where's next for you?

Fotosia pisze...

Difficult question. Costs of living and unfinished education are serious obstacles for a Fotosian way of life. Right now I'm working on staying in Leuve for the rest of my studies.

Belgium is a good spot to get to other places round Europe. At least that part of Europe I haven't seen yet ;-)

I've always liked hobbits, they have loads of hidden powers but save them only for real adventures ;-)

Fist pisze...

Their power comes from their homeliness, which provides them with an innocence and goodness unmatched in middle earth, enabling them to endure the demands and temptations of the ring - I think is the symbolism.

Belgium sounds good. I went there as a child with the school for a long weekend once. I remember: delicious strawberry milkshakes. O, and WW1 trenches and war memorials.

Fotosia pisze...

So you are an innocent hobbit? No way...

Fist pisze...

Well, I am only four foot tall...

Fotosia pisze...

Four feet? That inspires me to do some freaky mathemathics ;-) Wait... my foot is 25 centimeters long, so... I am 60 cm taller than you, youpieee! At last someone shorter than Gosia ;-)

Ps. Do u also have hobbit-like hairy toes?
Ps2. Is hobbit-weed giving hallucinations?
Ps3. Do hobbits fall asleep in winter? After all, they live in holes...
Ps4. Where the hell do u put a dot in Ps2 and Ps3?

Fist pisze...

Ps. Yes.
Ps2. Not right now. (At work.)
Ps3. No, they hang around in bars drinking and jigging.
Ps4. Where ever you like.

Catch you later!
