Elmley School

Elmley school prospered until after World War 1, when a notice was given in 1919 by the Kent Education Committee which read: “The Committee is considering a proposal to close what is believed to be the smallest school in England, that at Elmley. There are only five children on the books, three of which are the children of the Headteacher.”

The Road

The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
Let others follow it who can!
Let them a journey new begin,
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
- The Lord of the Rings

Now it's time to say good night,
Good night. Sleep tight.

To my amazement a new lens and a polarizing filter can largely reduce photoshop meddling. Sunny days in the South East are of much help too. I like this type of winter, don't even mind the occasional rain, If only we can have a day like this from time to time!

South Stack. I am not 100% sure, but I think this building is where they serve teas to tired tourists. Unfortunately tea-time was already over when I shoot this one...

This photo comes from a brilliant trip to Snowdon, with two of my colleagues from UKC. With Lightroom2 installed on my laptop, more breathtaking shots will follow :-)

Ps. Dirt on the image sensor...? No, it's just a flock of birds around the lighthouse!
